Hello Agents & Operatives,

Now that surveys have gone out and most backers have set up their pledges, we're going to get into the regular schedule of month end updates. As noted last month, I'll be sending a progress report near the end of each month to ensure we're all on the same page and nothing drops off the radar. There likely won't be a ton of movement this early on, but it's good to keep a regular update schedule so that you always know where we stand.

BACKER SURVEY REMINDER

If you haven't already completed your BackerKit survey for this project, this is just a reminder that you can jump on anytime and get it out of the way. Set it and forget it, as they say.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. You should have received an email with the survey invitation link around the end of June . Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

Hello Agents & Operatives,

It's been a few weeks since we launched out BackerKit Post-Campaign Pledge Manager, and most of you have visited, set up your Add On rewards, and confirmed your reward selections. With that information, I've been able to set up and start allocation on some of our existing rewards (i.e., the M20 PDF and some of our existing Stretch Goal titles). I've also ended up adding something new, so let's cover it all in a mid-month round up!

DIGITAL REWARD DISTRIBUTION

Many of the rewards for our kickstarter projects take a lot of time and effort to complete. Usually, the kickstarter is a means of moving the project from an idea (even when it's a mostly-fully-written idea) into the actual channel that turns it into a project/product. It'll be a while before we're ready to talk about delivery on Technocracy Reloaded, and even longer for our projects generated via Stretch Goals (Operative'sDossier, Jumpstart, Novella Anthology!).

That said, there are a few rewards that are available now, as they were mostly add-on PDFs of existing products. And now, we can work on getting those out to you during the week.

Your link to claim these digital rewards will be sent out by our BackerKit pledge manager over the next week. Since we are using our partners at DriveThruRPG as the hosts for these, you will need to set up a DriveThru account if you don't have one already. Again, you will receive an e-mail from BackerKit with links for these rewards over the next 5 days if any of them are on your expected list of rewards. I'll be releasing them in waves, so don't panic if you only see a handful of links at first... the rest are coming. (We're in a digital world, but there are still a lot of manual processes. And there are A LOT of links to go out!!)

The easiest way to see if you've got digital downloads available is to login to your backerkit account: https://technocracy-reloaded.backerkit.com/backer/digital_rewards and it'll show anything available. Your backerkit account should also confirm all rewards that you should expect from your reward tier selected.

Which is a good reminder for those who haven't yet logged in to BackerKit, and also those who will want to revisit and/or revise their survey (see below).

UPDATING SURVEYS WITH BACKER NAMES

Normally, we collect Backer Names for inclusion in Deluxe books as we near the end of the layout phase. I've been working on using a new form to collection this information, but my tests and fixes haven't quite worked. Also, many backers were eager to get all of their information set up now rather than wait for me to figure out the fix, which makes a lot more sense. With all of the uncertainty and shifting going on in the world, it would be nice to have at least one project able to be checked off the To Do List.

So, let's get this done now! 

I've revised the BackerKit Survey and added one additional question, to collect Kickstarter Backer names to publish on our supporter pages in the final Deluxe book. As noted above, you can access your BackerKit Survey at any time by clicking on the link originally sent out to you, or by having it resent here: https://technocracy-reloaded.backerkit.com/

Launching your BackerKit Survey should take you back into the Questions stage of the survey. You'll note a new Question asking how you'd like your name to be listed in the credits (or if you'd rather not). When it comes time to provide Backer Names to the layout team, I will be taking the submissions from this portion of the survey, rather than using your Kickstarter ID, BackerKit handle, Address name, or any other source. In the end, it's just simpler if you specify what you want me to pass along.

Please keep your names appropriate for publication - normal length, able to be reproduced by non-special fonts, etc.

If you need to revise your Survey at any time after completion, you can bring it back up via the original invitation link or having it resent (as detailed above), and then click EDIT MY ORDER

To adjust your Survey responses, click EDIT YOUR PLEDGE QUESTION RESPONSES on the left side, under your list of rewards...

Again, there's no rush on this - it'll be some time before the layout team gets to the Kickstarter Supporter name section and needs your submissions, but if you want to get it finished and out of the way, please revisit your BackerKit Survey and fill it out.

OK, that's a lot of stuff for a surprise mid-month update. I'll be back at the end of the month with our regular, ongoing status check-ins. Keep an eye out for reward e-mails (coming over the next few days), and revisit your survey if you want to sort your Kickstarter Supporter name to be listed in the book.

June 2020 Update - Surveys are coming!

Hello Agents & Operatives!

Welcome to our regular month end updates, although there's been nothing "regular" about these past few months. Near the end of each month, I will be sending out an update, with status updates on our main project and all of the Stretch Goal projects we added. As noted in previous updates, these projects take a long time to put together. You've seen the manuscript, but there are still many moving pieces and puzzles to solve in turning this into an awesome book. These month-end updates ensure that communication is constant and consistent, and that we're all on the same page with regards to where we stand.

I will also be sending out the BackerKit Pledge Manager surveys this week!

But, before we begin all of that - I hope everyone's keeping safe and managing through our current times as best possible. I don't know how things will look as the world continues to change, but hoping the best for all of you.

Within the BackerKit Survey and Pledge Manager, you can:

• Upgrade your Reward Tier pledge selection
• Confirm Add On selections
• Set up payment information for any failed payments from the Kickstarter campaign or to pay for any new Add On options selected

To upgrade your reward Pledge Tier:

From the BackerKit welcome page, in reverse order, you can select Switch Your Pledge Level (lower option) immediately. Or, you can select your Pledge Level (top option) to review your reward tier and change from that screen.

An option at the top of the Pledge Information screen will allow you to upgrade your Pledge Level.

Once we've got a fair response to our survey and collected a reasonable amount of info, I'll be working on fulfilling rewards that are available now - like the PDFs of the titles included in our Add On section, (The various Mage: The Ascension 20th Anniversary titles, and Technocratic Union PDF Bundle, etc.) Expect to receive more info on those within the next few weeks or so.

Hello Agents & Operatives!

WE DID IT!

We funded a new deluxe supplement for Mage: The Ascension 20th Anniversary Edition, Technocracy Reloaded!

And not just that! We unleashed TWENTY-SIX STRETCH GOALS!

Thanks to your support, a new book - the Technocracy Player's Companion - has been added to the approved projects list. With 10 "sections" added via Stretch Goal achievements, you've helped bulk it up into an exciting outline! I can't wait for the writing team to get on that and see where they take us next!

AND - thanks to your support, another new supplement - the Technocracy Reloaded Jumpstart - has also been added to the approved projects list! This PDF will not only include an introductory scenario, it will also include Ready-Made Characters so you can just print and play! These Onyx Path jumpstart products are often the exact thing I use to not only hook my group, but launch an ongoing chronicle.

AND AND - Fiction! Thanks to your support - AGAIN - we'll be getting a Technocracy Reloaded Fiction Anthology! What's better than a novella set in the world of the Technocracy? How about FOUR?! I'm late to the party on Mage by a bit, but really looking forward to digging in and living in that world for a little while! And, after the past few months, I've learned that I can never have too many things to read!

I know we were all hoping to get to $195,000 and throw a reward to the awesome developers and writers who brought us our manuscript draft with that cool Stretch Goal, but we were just a little short. We did the next best thing, though - for freelance writers and developers, adding projects to their schedule and guaranteeing more work in the future is a welcome outcome, believe me!

So - here's to more awesome work ahead from the Technocracy Reloaded creative team and all the writers that have made this project so engaging and inspiring!

There's obviously a lot going on in the world right now - a lot of uncertainty and unknowns - but it's been really great to see the community come together to support this project and turn it into a big success. The campaign gave me a lot of structure to hold on to in these drifting days, and I appreciate all of the great interactions we had during the campaign!
